How can I update the account name or transfer ownership for my Multireach Broadband account?
Changing the account name is not permitted in accordance with the guidelines set by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). To proceed with a change of ownership, customers must submit KYC documents as part of a new application. This process will also facilitate the transfer of any remaining credit balance from the previous account to the new one.
There are associated fees for transferring ownership, which you will be informed about during the process on the provided link.
Steps : –
- Open the Multireach Broadband’s website and log in.
- Access the support section through the quick links at the bottom of the screen.
- Click on “Need Help,” then select “Multireach Broadband.” From the options presented, choose “Account & Plan Related Queries.” Within this section, opt for “Change Account Owner Name.” The subsequent link will ask for confirmation to proceed.
- Upon clicking, you’ll be directed to a new page.
- Review the Terms of Service and continue scrolling.
- Agree to the terms and conditions by verifying with the OTP, which will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- Provide the details of the new customer (transferee): first name, last name, mobile number, email address, and date of birth.
- Upload a selfie (with a plain background) of the new customer or select a passport-sized photo from your gallery. Then, proceed by clicking “Next.”
- Submit the signature of the new customer and click “Next.”
- For proof of identity, upload a copy of the chosen document’s front and back (options are available to select from), and verify with the OTP sent to the new customer’s mobile number.
- This process will generate a new connection application, along with Proof of Address/POI and an e-CAF.
- Both the transferor and transferee must provide a no-objection statement, with the transferee accepting ownership to settle any outstanding dues. (Please be aware that the existing account will be disconnected before the new account is created. This transition period is expected to last around 24 hours.)

Typically, the entire process takes up to 72 hours after document verification.
